IP Banned?

On Saturday night I used Navigraph with no problems. Sunday morning I cannot log in. I get “unable to sign in with device flow. Network error”. I even had to use a VPN to log in to these forums. All devices on network are affected. Everything works when VPN enabled

Before making this post I researched the issue but never found anything related and found fixes such as “fix your system time”. Obviously nothing wrong with that. There was a couple other ideas but no luck. I even verified the router and modem’s clocks and disabled firewalls.

I have reason to believe that my IP is blocked. Traceroute produces a bunch or errors after hop 6. Can somebody msg me so I can give my IP address so it can be checked in the server’s iptables?

I’ve done everything to remove my system and lan as the culprit so here I am seeking a resolution. I have yearly account. Thanks in advance!

Do you, by any chance, have Wide Open West as ISP? There is an ongoing issue at this specific ISP that has resulted in these exact symptoms for some other users.

Hi and thanks for the reply. Yes I am on Wide Open West. I did some nosing around and got to Cermac DC then black hole after that. I have reason to believe that someone tripped over a cord and rekt the aggregation because the routing is a mess. I bet major ack fest.

I talked to WOW and they don’t know anything about and said my modem is fine so I’m going to have to look into changing back to Comcast. I told them what I know and they weren’t interested.

So I am experiencing the same issue. I live in Michigan and use WOW. How can WOW not fix the issue if it’s coming from their end? I’m not sure if I could switch to any provider except WOW cause that’s what my parents use and I’m not sure what to do. I really need Navigraph and sim brief for my flying and never flown since yesterday night when I quit my long haul. Really hope they find a solution for this cause it’s so frustrating.

It works if you have a VPN. That’s your only option right now. WOW said they would have someone call me after the holidays to see if I still have an issue but they won’t call. I’m going to give them a week to fix the problem and bail if they don’t. There was a bit of a language barrier with the customer service guy so it was somewhat difficult.

Yeah I will give it till Friday. If it still doesn’t work then not sure what I am going to do at this point. But hoping that it works…

Give it a try now. It’s working for me now. Someone at WOW must have discovered the unplugged cord that got tripped over.
