Only one issue per thread so that others can easily see what has been reported.
Right now it’s fine having to switch between Simbrief and after spawning switching to charts, but, why not possibly replace Charts with an app that has both integrated so you don’t have to switch anymore?
Maybe there could be 2 sections inside the app for planning and for when it comes to fly
I agree, many simmers actually prefer to plan the other way around to visually choose their departures and arrivals first. You can easily do exactly this by using the current integration like a clever workaround:
Pre-planning in Navigraph: Open Navigraph Charts, check the weather/winds, and visually click your preferred route together, including the specific SID and STAR.
Copy the Route String: Navigraph automatically generates a text string of your route at the top of the window (e.g., EDDK/14L NOR3G Y854 ...). Copy this string with a single click.
Paste into SimBrief: Go over to SimBrief, create your flight, and paste this exact string directly into the “Route” field. SimBrief will accept and lock in your custom waypoints, including the selected SIDs and STARs.
Generate OFP & Re-Import: Let SimBrief calculate the fuel and performance for this exact routing. Once generated, simply pull the final flight plan back into Navigraph Charts via the “Import from SimBrief” button to start your flight with the Moving Map.
It’s a 4-step workflow that gives you the best of both worlds, but a full app merger would be way more usefull and make planning easier.
