ILS 18R and ILS 17C so far with the Inibuilds KDFW scenery, once at the FAF or inside the FAF the aircraft just make a right banked turn on both ILS approaches and starts to turn right off of the ILS. All correct frequencies are entered as well as the inbound approach coarse. I sent a help desk tisxket into PMDG and they thought maybe the scenery, but wanted to get support tickets placed with all three so we coulkd try and resolve this issue. Cannopt even fly a CAT II ILS withis issue must less a CAT 1 ILS.
Hi,
Can you confirm, that this happen without the 3rd patty scenery too? That would be isolate the issue.
Also can you confirm that this happens with any default aircraft (ie. C172 with G1000) too? That would also isolate the issue.
Thanks
Richard
Hi again,
I have now tested your scenario with the stock scenery, the G1000, and the PMDG 736. I can’t reproduce it - the ILS approaches were stable without any move on any side.
My assumption is either a 3rd-party scenery issue or an issue with your system. Sorry.
Cheers
Richard
Hello Richard,
I have been at work all day today. Inibuilds has recommended that I rename my community folder, have the simulator recreat a new community folder and then reinstall the DFW scenery as well as the PMDG aricraft and see if I can reproduce it that way. If, so then it has to be an add on or some conflict in the folder. I am going to try this once I get home. I did not have this issue when I was using the DFW scenery from Imaginesim. I have deleted the default DFW scenery.
Richard,
Home and did a new communbity folder with only the PMDG 738 and Inibuilds KDFW. The ILS runway 18R went fine, then moved over to ILS 17C and the ILS once inside the FAF started to move left and right then the GS went full down and the plane would not stay on the GS at all.
… and when you remove the Inibuild scenery too? When you use only the stock KDFW scenery? Because you wrote that all this does not happen with the Imaginesim scenery, this feels more like a scenery issue than a navdata issue.
Another point is that you see the LOC/GS stable on your ND and not jumping, right? So, I´m wondering how WE should handle this … we are offering the data for the signals, not the logic to follow them…
And last additional point regarding PMDG: PMDG uses its own data, which is completely independent of MSFS. The signals themselves come from the sim … so another point for me that indicates a scenery issue, not a PMDG issue. All my assumptions here are “only” based on experiences from the last couple of years with 3rd-party scenery, addon aircraft, and our data. That does not mean the data are error-free - it´s only my personal interpretation of this issue.
I don’t have this scenery; my tests are always against the stock KDFW.
Cheers
Richard
I will remove the Inibuilds scenery tonight and just fly an ILS to 17C with just the stock scenery and reply after. What I noticed while on the ILS to 17C, is once past the FAF the plane started to fly off of the localizer, it flew to the left of the runway in which the Localizer showed the runway to the right, and the GS would show the airplane was low and the Autopilot would not keep the plane on the GS or localizer, so there would have more than likely no way you could have flown a CAT II ILS or a CAT IIIA. I just know it went pretty “squirrly” once past the FAF inbound. I also could try other ILS runways, such as 17L, and then try a few landing to the north and see if the issue is reproduced and report back.
Hello Richard,
Okay here is tonights report. Flew an ILS to 36L, 35C with inibuilds KDFW, those runways seemed to do alright, then came around and di an ILS to 17C, the plane started to drift to the left after passing the FAF, AP corrected and then the GS went downward deflection and the AP took a bit before it tried to correct, then came back and did an ILS to 18R, same once insode the FAF it drifted left of the runway, AP trieed to correct, then the GS went full down deplection and the AP tried to correct but did not.
Then I removed the Inibuilds scenery, added back in the default stock DFW, and same issues with both the ILS 17C and 18R, where the localizer went to the right, plane went left, GS went down and AP wouldn’t correct eh behavior.
