ILS at OLBA

Hi,
The search feature here works very well and is sometimes faster than waiting for an answer. There are several questions about OLBA and this situation, back to 2022.

The ILS approach is coded as the LOC approach; therefore, you can select only the LOC approach. For more details, please refer to one of the postings in this forum.

Hi, please select the LOC approaches. ILS approaxhes can’t be coded here because on every approach, the missed approach starts prior the runway threshold - there all these approaches are coded as LOC approach - but for the approach itself, the GS is working even when you select LOC only. FAQ - ILS Missing, only LOC provided for Missed Approach TURN prior to RWY

Where an airport ILS Missed Approach procedure requires a TURN away from the final approach course prior to the runway threshold, our data provider Jeppesen codes the ILS as LOC in our FMS Data. This is in accordance with ARINC rules. A typical example is OLBA, where you see the Missed Approach course leave the final approach course BEFORE the runway - so Jeppesen codes the ILS approach as LOC. [image]
