How to update the newest AIRAC cycle dabatase within Xplane 12 manualy in Linux?,with using steam?.?

Hello, I’m using Fedora Linux,and using the Steam version of Xplane 12.

I have problems to update the MCDU database with the newest Airac Cyle when available.

please i would like to know how you do this manualy,When i have downloaded the newest zip file for xplane 12 of the Airac cycle.

I have in my case unzipped the file in the directory home/.local/share/steam/steamapps/common/xplane 12 then there in the custom data directory.

But when i start xplane,then the MCDU says no second database available it will be only using for all aircrafts the default database from Xplane 12.

Often i fly wtih the Toliss the newest version of the A330 or the A321 Neo,but also there the MCDU will not load the newest Airac database.

Could anybody help me out to solve this problem so i can use the Correct database?,the default one from Xplane gives also problems with my made flightplans of Simbrief.

Can you please show the contents of that folder, as well as the contents of home/.local/share/steam/steamapps/common/xplane 12/Custom Data ?

Nope, you must put the contents of xplane12_native_2510 in Custom Data:

I have tried so as you explained, if i understand your given solution on the right way,to put the files out ouf the map xplane12_native_2510 into the map Custom Data but then will xplane 12 Crash,now i could not use the newest Airac Cycle if i would like. Now i get only the default MCDU of Xplane 12 database. It says always second nav database none. I could not load i’t when i like. So i have deleted the the map xplane12_native_2510 Custom Data.

Is there any other solution to get the new Airac cycle database could be work?.

i have also tried to copy out of the map xplane12_native_2510 the files to overwrite the default data of xplane 12 with this new files,but later on i have tried to start xplane 12 again,it says Database not compatible,so i have put back all default files of xplane 12. now Xplane 12 works again. But still not with the newest Airac Cycle database.

Can you provide a screenshot of the error message before X-Plane crashes?

I’m sorry i give the blame to myself ,i was forgotten to copy one file from the map plane12_native_2510 when i used the copy and paste function witin this map to copy the files complete to the Custom Data directory within xplane 12, your solution works now. Thanks for your help.
