I’ve completed the flight for lessons 1 and 2. But when I want to exit, I’ve found using the ESC key doesn’t take me out of the lesson. I’ve had to ALT-TAB out of MSFS 2024 and end the task using Task Manager to quit the sim.
If there is a cleaner way to exit a flight lesson, I’d appreciate a tip on how to do this properly.

Hi! Have you checked your in game control settings? The menu should be available from using the ESC key, but if the keybind has been removed then the menu will not open when the key is pressed. This has happened to me before when I have cleaned out my keybinds in preparing to use Academy.
The menu is not blocked by Academy lessons, at least not intentionally.
Thank you, Martin. Your response helped me find and correct the problem. I had created a new General profile for the Academy, and only added the key binds discussed in the video for the views. Since I didn’t duplicate an existing profile (as I should have done), the key bind for TOGGLE PAUSE was not in my Academy profile. Once I tracked that down and added it, I could exit the lesson with the ESC key. I appreciate your help!
