Hide own ship when on Vatsim

Hi would it be possible to hide your own ship/aircraft when flying online on say Vatsim?
I always see the SimLink arrow and my own VATSIM aircraft overlapping.

Would be nice if I could enter my Vatsim username to hide the own aircraft.

Thanks for the report, the ownship arrow and VATSIM aircraft overlapping isn’t intended behavior.

Entering your VATSIM ID manually shouldn’t be necessary, as we already have automation that detects when your ownship position overlaps with VATSIM aircraft and removes the duplicate. We’ve found a few issues with that logic and are looking into why it’s not working correctly here.

A couple of follow-up questions to help us narrow this down:

  • Have you been flying on the network regularly the last few months, or have you just picked it up?
  • If you fly for a while with both VATSIM traffic and your ownship arrow enabled, does the VATSIM aircraft eventually disappear, leaving just the ownship arrow?

Hi I just started using Simlink. I was on the classic FMC-only subscription model, but recently upgraded to the full package. So yes that might be the case. Made quite a few flights online with the Simlink moving map.

I can confirm it’s still the case: the overlapping Vatsim Aircraft. I just went online to test again and it’s still there.

Is there nothing I can do from my end? The problem seems persistent and doesn’t seem to go away by itself.
