A course for helicopters would be great to see in the future that could mirror the current private pilot courses. Along with possible other courses for mission specific training (HEMS, firefighting, SAR, and sling loads to name a few examples).
Wow, that would be a tough one, particularly since they aren’t actually doing an “instructor” (in cockpit), they’re just doing kind of a “ground examiner”, who is outside the aircraft watching manuvers and not interacting with the pilot until a post-flight debrief. For helicopter it’s critical to have immediate live feedback and demonstration from an instructor sitting next to you - which this application simply doesn’t address. I find it wholy inadequate to not have an in-cockpit instructor and nowhere near any type of instruction or “academy” I’ve ever attended, but they describe it as a “wishlist item”. Good luck on that.

I just finished the virtual PPL. It was an amazing experience. I feel it has a good balance of just enough in-depth theory and very efficient practical guidance too. It does not feel lacking nor overwhelming. This makes me wish there was a corresponding Helicopter Pilot course. I have been thinking about trying my hand on helis, but the information is very scattered and not anywhere near the quality that I found in the Navigraph Academy. I hope you really considering adding such a course. Thanks again for the amazing work done in the Academy so far!
