I’ve clicked update on X-Plane 11 in nav data fms manager but my navdata is still out of date and i’ve watched videos on youtube but they’re all 2 years old or more so the process is quite different. I’m pretty lost and not sure what to do. I found UFMC and downloaded and updated it but when i load into x-plane nav data still says out of date.
Hi Josh,
Welcome.
Please check you have correct X-Plane path in Settings:
Make sure you have correct mapping of UFMC in Addon Mappings:
See also FAQ - Nav Data Out Of Date
Cheers
Ian
Thank you Ian, my path i think is wrong, mine says C:\Users\Joshu\Desktop\X-Plane 11, where do i change my path, i don’t see the option that looks like yours.
Scroll down further on the Settings page you have shown.
Make sure the X-Plane path is correct. You can use the black folder icon to navigate to the directory containing your X-Plane.exe
In Addon Mappings, delete entry X-Plane 11 (11.50+).
Press Scan. Are you now seeing entry X-Plane 11 (11.50+) ?
If yes, in Addon List please select X-Plane 11 (11.50+) and Update. Similar for your addons.
Cheers
Ian
When you use the black folder to navigate to the X-Plane application, double click on the X-Plane application and you should have the X-Plane path updated.
Then proceed with
In Addon Mappings, delete entry X-Plane 11 (11.50+).
Press Scan. Are you now seeing entry X-Plane 11 (11.50+) ?
If yes, in Addon List please select X-Plane 11 (11.50+) and Update. Similar for your addons.
If unsure, please post screenshots of X-Plane path in Settings and X-Plane 11 (11.50+) mapping in Addon Mappings

Hey Ian let me show you a screenshot, i did scan and updated x-plane 11 in add-on list, i am double clicking on x-plane 11 in settings for my path but my path is not changing.
You are looking at the Backup path.
Please use the vertical scroll bar or mouse roller wheel if you one to move down to the X-Plane 11 Path
Your path will be different as I have an F drive dedicated to flightsim.
Maybe your path is correct?
In X-Plane 11 default Boeing 737-800, please post screenshot of FMC Status page. It should look like:
Cheers
Ian
I did and my screen did not change, I;m currently out of town so i will show you my FMC when i return.
Sorry, to interrupt here a little bit … Ian´s suggestions are all 100% correct but it seems there is a mess on your system somewhere.
Additional to Ian´s suggestion, please can you do following BEFORE you do anything else:
-
close all sims (X-Plane, P3D, MSFS, …)
-
open the explorer and copy & paste the following path in the explorer-line
%ProgramData%\Navigraph\FMSClient
-
you will immediately switch to the FMSClient folder and you should see this:
-
delete the
settings.conf
and themapping.index
file (red line in the screenshot above) -
now start X-Plane and close it immediately after a successfully startup
-
start the FMS Data Manager, you must re-login
-
after the login, the FMS Data Manager will ask you for scan your addons, press YES
-
after the scan, go to the “Settings” tab, scroll down to the “Path” category and make a screenshot of your X-Plane path, like:
You then start X-Plane again. Please look in the default Boeing 737, if the database is updated or not. See the last posting from Ian.
Thank you,
Richard
PS: please be sure, that you are using the latest UFMC version, because the files were changed sometimes ago
Where is Explorer? I’m not sure what that is.
wait i found it. But where exactly do i copy and paste that?
If i don’t get this problem fixed can i get a refund? Because i’m paying to not even use it and it’s a real headache. Though i want to try and fix the problem first because i need the data for x-plane.
%ProgramData%\Navigraph\FMSClient
I’m putting it into the search bar on files but nothing is coming up. It says no results.
We want you to be happy and will refund if you cant use the data.
I suggest you try manual installation.
Please click where I have indicated to download manual install for X-Plane 11. Then run the downloaded installer using the default prompts. I suggest you start with X-Plane default B737-800. Later you can update the UFMC manually.
Cheers
Ian
It’s a Zip file and i believe i did do a manual installation? did i not?
where are the default promps?
Do you have instructions on how to download it manually?
Hi Josh,
We have been trying to get you using the FMS Data Manager.
Manual download is indeed the zip file xplane11_native_2206.zip.
You need to use Windows Explorer to right click mouse on this file, choose extract all, navigate to your …X-Plane 11\Custom Data, and extract there.
