On the ground in SKBO, a340 during preflight, GPS failure. GPWS warnings- Pull Up- !
This could be a problem on itself but later that day in the Fenix a320 stable on approach for rwy 26 LOWI again Terrain Terrain Pull Up . Visual no problem.
During departure from EHAM the a320 was unable to enter the navmode like it does normally.
On the runway I had to select direct to the first waypoint and only then it entered the NAV mode.
The above problems are since last update since may14th.
Something must be wrong with the database.
Hi,
Not sure what - because we have no terrain elevation information in our data, only the elevation of the antennas, and this information doesn´t give you any GPWS warning.
A GPWS warning has nothing to do with the FMC data, regardless of which cycle you have installed - it is a ground proximity warning system. As the name suggests, this system provides Cautions or Warnings in the Cockpit if the aircraft is on a collision course with the ground (excluding Mode 6, which is for the Glideslope).
Possibly your radar altimeter was not set correctly, but that is not navdata-related.
Cheers,
Richard
