I’ve noticed an interesting issue today. There seems to be a discrepancy between the GPS and the VOR bearing. Specifically, the GPS shows a bearing of 353° to the FMD VOR station, while the Desired Track (DTK) is 343° (based on my track/heading). This results in a 10° offset, which is occurring at the FMD VOR in Austria.
In the second screenshot, you can see that I’ve uninstalled the AIRAC from the hub, and after doing so, everything seems to work fine - the needles are aligned the way they should be.
Has anyone else experienced a similar issue or have any insights into why this could be happening?
Please disregard the heading difference between both screenshots — they are unimportant to the issue at hand.
Unfortunately, this issue occurs on both simulators: MSFS 2020/2024.
When flying the Fenix A320 e.g., everything appears to be functioning normally. However, when using Garmin Aircrafts, strange occurrences happen. I have all the plugins installed, but only uninstalling the current AIRAC seems to resolve the problem.
Hi,
Just an update to this - we have identified the issue (and of course, I can reproduce it ;-), and we are currently working on a new revision for MSFS2020 and MSFS2024.
Thank you very much & sorry for the trouble,
Richard
Hi again,
I have uploaded a new revision for both sims (2020 and 2024). In this revision, the offsets you discovered should be fixed. Sorry about that.
Please let me know if it’s fixed (also on your system).
Thank you again, and thanks for your patience
Richard
