I’m an FSX SE user, running Windows 10, with 16 MB of RAM, an i7 processor, over 500 GB of available SSD storage, and two monitors.
Currently, I can’t upgrade either the software to MSFS 2020/24 or Windows 11. I enjoy flying PMDG B737s and B777s, Aerosoft A320s, and QualityWings B787s.
All of them have FSX licenses without issue. My aircraft, due to their age, don’t have cockpit tablets (the one on my QualityWing B787 is very basic).
With the limitations of not having a paid subscription to Symbrief/Navigraph, I use the Volanta map on the second monitor. It’s basic, but I enjoy it.
My old but fun FSX SE currently uses AIRAC version 1511.
My question is: does it make sense to subscribe to Navigraph for use in FSX SE to plan flights with AIRAC 1511 (will I be able to update it?) and enjoy navigation charts and airports on the second monitor while playing FSX SE on the first monitor?
Thanks for your help.
