Transition routes in Seychelles FIR (FSSS) do not correspond the same in Navigraph as in real Jeppensen charts. Same applies for the name and code designators for significant points related to the STAR and SIDS for FSIA airport per the amended AIRAC effective since 23 Jul 2015. Causing major set backs for most simmers forcing them to use DCT routing instead.
Below link entails the details of the amended AIRAC and charts in question:
Having trouble as well with the SID & STAR at FSIA. Looking forward to have an update.
Same here plus the approach at 13 also need update
Guys,
Which SID/STAR on FSIA is incorrect? Which waypoint name is wrong or missing? A few examples would be very helpful and could speed up the process.
By the way, the document shows only transition routes and IAPs into FSIA, but I have no clue what to do with SIDs/STARs. Further, this document is over 10 years old - the latest revision from the Jeppesen charts is from 2026. So why do you think that this document is still valid?
The latest, official AIP Amendment is from OCT 2025 and not from 2015:
Thank you
Richard
Which approach for runway 13 should be updated? There are three different RNP approaches available. Also, please forward an official reference (e.g., the AIP or a similar document) so we can report it to our source provider.
Thank you,
Richard
Please explain in detail what troubles you have with which SID/STAR - which sim, which addon …? We don´t see any reason for an update …
Cheers,
Richard
Hi Richard,
Thank you for your swift response,
Actually I am representing the Seychelles flight simmers and also happens to be an ex Air traffic controller with the ATS in Seychelles.
The RNAV/ ILS approach charts for both runways are all correct,
but the issue is related to the transition Routes for both RWY 13/31. Below attached documents contains the examples following the last amendments made by the civil aviation authority in 2015 on these SIDS & STAR for FSIA and it is still being used as of today.
The blue lines on the charts are transition routes for arrivals/STAR and the red lines for departure transition/SID respectively per both RWYs. As you may observed majority of these transitions routes accompanied by their airways are missing.
Again, according the AIP this document is outdated. When we should report an issue we need a effective real-world reference. This AIP Amendment is obsolete and not valid any longer.
Cheers,
Richard
Additionally, kindly find attached the below for your perusal as it contains all the current RNP 1 SID & STAR for both RWY13/31. As you may be able to observe majority of them are missing in the Navigraph software and Simbrief itself.
The same lead us to unable to configure the aircraft correctly as the updated AIRAC maybe missing the correct transition routes for the RNP 1 STAR & SID. Forcing us to use direct routing instead.
Sir, I´m sorry, but you’re offering outdated and no longer valid documents even when the information is still valid. I have never seen a valid Amendment that is 11 years old. We can´t report any issue without a valid Amendment, and as I have shown you directly from the AIP - the last one is from OCT 2025 and not from JAN 2015 …
Thank you for your understanding
Richard
That the thing the Civil Aviation Authority will not publicise the AIP online again as it has been restricted to public domain but rather to signed agreement with airline companies and only view basis at the ANS office.
But at least we tried to inform you guys on it.
Thank you Richard
Looking at your example charts above, I found that, for example, the airway segment UTALI T142 BOMOB no longer exists in current Navigraph data (licensed to Navigraph by Jeppesen).
Bisecting the different AIRAC cycles I have backed up, I found out that the airway segment in question:
- still exists in data from cycle 2504
- no longer exists in data from cycle 2505
I also noticed departures procedures UTAL1A (runway 31) and UTAL1B (runway 13):
- are present in data from cycle 2504
- are absent in data from cycle 2505
As far as I can tell (let’s call it an educated guess), this looks like a deliberate update, presumably based on some more current data available to Jeppesen but not to you.
Regards,
Tim
