FMS won't connect

For the last week I have not been able to login successfully with FMS Data Manager. I currently have an Ultimate subscription. Back when it started I had tried to change the account email address. Leading up to the issue, I had not changed, added, deleted anything with my antivirus program or made any changes to Windows (except a couple of updates that I have rolled back). Since then I had reached out on the Forum and after the FMS log file was reviewed, it was suggested that the problem lay with my anti-virus and/or my ISP.

Following that I have ensured that all things Navigraph (Charts, FMS Data Manage and SimLink were included in an Exclusion list (White list)), uninstalled and reinstalled Charts and FMS (as administrator and normally), tried running FMS with my anti-virus active and disabled, ensured that that the windows clock was sync’ed ,all without any success. Please bear in mind that everything worked previously.

For this reason, am I able to create (replace) my current, active account with a new one to rule out any possibility of account corruption I may have caused by my attempting to change some of my account settings? I don’t know what else to try.

I have included the most recent log file. just before capturing this log file, I attempted to log into FMS, let the login screen time out to where I am presented the “one time login” screen and enter the one time password, which is where it goes no further.

In the FMS Data Manager Settings tab, Unregister account, then log in with your subscribed (Hotmail email) account details.

If still an issue, please upload usingimagethe latest log file from C:\ProgramData\Navigraph\FMSClient\logs\

Cheers
Ian

When I invoke the FMS Data Manager app I am presented with the login screen, which times out (at this point the Settings button is greyed out until I click the “Close” option. Once I click close I can open the settings, but there is no option to unregister. Please see the attachments. Thanks for looking into this … much appreciated! ~ Tom

You are not logged in, so you can’t log out, and you don’t see more on the settings page.

The log file is useless. Please try to log in and send us the log file.

Thank you
Richard

In addition to Rich’s post, if you can’t login you could try a fresh start using the exact procedure below:

Please disable any Antivirus and firewall. Uninstall AV if needed.

Restart your machine.

Try connecting to the internet using a mobile phone hotspot instead of your router.

Use Windows to uninstall FMS Data Manager. Specifically:

  1. Press Start and open Apps & Features.
  2. On the right-hand side, open Programs and Features.
  3. Find Navigraph FMS Data Manager in the list, select it, and press the Uninstall button above.

If they exist, delete folders:
c:\ProgramData\Navigraph\FMSClient and c:\Program Files (x86)\Navigraph\FMS Data Manager.

Download and install FMS Data Manager.

Login with your hotmail email

Any joy?

Cheers

Ian

I’ll keep trying things on this end Richard and try to get the data manager logged in. No problem with the main Navigraph home page. It’s just the data manager that isn’t talking. Thanks. I can still use Charts, but just won’t be able to update the AIRAC cycle.

Thanks Ian, I’ll keep plugging away.
