FMS Update MAC

This is what I have to show you, I need help in installing 2202 for X-Plane 11 (11.50+)
You seem to want my log text file, please indicate where I can find it, I can send you my X-Plane log text file if that’s what is required.

Hi,

Cycle 2201 is the current one. It was released today!

Stephen

Hi Stephen,
Something strange is going on, I have exactly the same problem as everyone on this thread, namely not being allowed to update as of today. You tell me 2201 is the new version, could you please confirm this? When I opened X-Plane and the FMC of my plane, I was on 2201 and was advised this version was out of date by the FMC.

Sure enough, when I tried to update today, I was expecting to go to 2022 and I could not, for the very same reasons as everyone else on this thread is complaining about.

Could you please check again and advise what I need to do? I’m really stymied.

Hi Mike,

As I previously advised:

The list of AIRAC release dates and versions are here . Please note:
We release new Navdata according to the AIRAC cycle which is numbered YYNN (where YY is the two last digits of the year and NN is the cycle number). A cycle is 28 days, thus there are 13 cycles in a year.

So AIRAC 2201 was released 27 Jan 22 around 0700Z and is the current version. You show this as downloaded in your screenshot.

Some time ago, there was an issue with ZIBO and OUT OF DATE message, which was fixed in a later version. Make sure you have the latest ZIBO version installed.

Also regarding OUT OF DATE message in FMC, please see para 3 of FAQ - Nav Data Out Of Date.

Zibo IDENT page should show:

Cheers
Ian

Stephen,
Not working. Scan finds nothing.
Paul

Just tried again and mappings found. Will try flying later.
Thanks
Paul

Hi Ian,

I reviewed all the items you propose on your message and checked my settings accotdingly.

Both time on my simulator and in the Zibo 737 are set correctly.

My problem started out yesterday as I tried to update in the usual way and when the Navigraph
update window showed up it did not show the orange icon inviting an update to swithc to green
with the new version. Here is a picture showing what I had after fiddling around (maybe I should
not have) In the past, the only choice was X-Plane 11.50+ But eventually I got a whole list as per
this screen shot:

I went through the update exercise as usual after clicking the box for the first X-Plane 11(11.50+) to select it.
The update went through as usual and the icon stayed green.

Here are the update instructions I follow:

The FMC had not updated as per the attached screen shot

Screen Shot 2022-01-29 at 10.40.59 AM.png

Next, I downloaded and installed a new FMC Data Manager from your email, it was the same problem, no change.

I am at a loss and I appreciate your help, hopefully, you’ll be able to solve this for me.

Please extend my apologies to Stephen, He was right and I was wrong about the latest version number.

Mike

Hi Mike,

You screenshot shows two entries for X-Plane 11. Do you have two? If not in Addon Mappings tab, select and Remove both entries, press Save, Scan and Save.

Do you now have a single X-Plane 11 entry? Please post a screenshot of this and the X-Plane 11 path in Settings tab.

Cheers
Ian

Hi Ian,

Thanks for your help, so appreciated.

I do not have two installations of X-Plane 11 so I did what you asked.

the first screen shot was taken after accomplishing your first request

Yes indeed, I now have a single X-Plane 11 entry.

The next two screen shots are two sections representing the X-Plane 11 path after clicking the “settings” tab.

I hope this is what you want, and again, thanks so much!

Mike

Hi Mike,

Close X-Plane 11.

In Addon List, please select and Update the entry X-Plane 11 (11.50+)

Do you now have correct AIRAC details showing in FMC?

If not,

In Settings, please click on the black folder to right of X-Plane 11 path and navigate to your X-Plane application:

Press Open.

In Addon Mappings again Remove entry X-Plane 11 (11.50+). Press Save , Scan and Save

In Addon List, please select and Update the entry X-Plane 11 (11.50+)

Do you now have correct AIRAC details showing in FMC?

Cheers
Ian

Hi Ian,

I followed your instructions to the letter and…IT WORKED!:grinning: Thank you so much!
Unfortunately, some people have the knowledge but can’t get it across.
You have the knowledge, Ian, and you know how to get it across, that is precious
and so important to guys like me who don’t have the knowledge and need to be guided
step by step. I think there are a lot of us and we appreciate you.

I will put this string on file for possible future references. I love written instructions, specially
for stuff I don’t have to do often.

Again, THANK YOU and best of luck in all your ventures.

Mike

Hi Mike,

You are welcome. We aim to communicate these steps clearly.

Thank you for the kind comments, they are much appreciated.

Glad it is resolved.

Happy flying.

Ian
