Went to update my Airac cycle today but the data manager had lost all mappings to my installed XPlane sims and add-ons. Trying a re-scan failed and there were no options to add my applications manually. Have never encountered this before. I just re-downloaded the data manager in case mine got corrupted but the results were the same. Is this a temporary problem at the server end or maybe the result of a Windows security update (I’m running Window 11)?
Hi…,
In the latest FMS Data Manager,
In the Settings, X-Plane 12 path, use the black folder to navigate to your X-Plane.exe. Press Save.
In Addon Mappings, select and Remove X-Plane 12 and X-Plane 12 addons. Press Scan and Save.
In Addon List, select and Update X-Plane 12 and X-Plane 12 addons.
Cheers

After re-selecting the paths to XP12 (and XP11), and saving under Settings, I went to Addon Mappings, which did not show any entries. I then performed a Scan but that also came back saying it couldn’t find anything. As I said, I have never encountered this issue until now, but something is preventing the Data Manager from finding the X Plane applications. I haven’t changed any settings on my PC since the last successful Airac update in August.
What addons do you have? You can +Add them in Addon Mappings.
Cheers

The problem was that it wasn’t even detecting the base X Plane applications and did not give me any options to add anything manually.
However, after updating my nVidia driver to the latest and restarting my PC, the FMS Data Manager came up with a prompt to scan for add-ons (something that did not occur on my previous attempts). I did so and everything looks to be back to normal. My add-ons were detected and the Airac cycle has been updated successfully.
I don’t know if the previous nVidia driver was the issue, or if the PC restart cleared a problem. That doesn’t seem likely since the PC was started up cleanly this morning, but you never know with Windows. In any event, everything appears to be back to normal, so you can consider this item closed. Thanks for your support.
