Hi Ian
It’s been a while, but I seem to be having a big problem with the FMS data update in the aircraft explain 12 I’m running Microsoft Windows 11 Pro. I have a well capable computer. I have everything updated. I can send you the pictures of what I do have but each month I have to go through a series of deleting everything and reinstalling everything and sometimes it works sometimes it doesn’t when I would really like if you could, if you can just give me a step-by-step program so that I can do it each month what exactly do I need to do on the FMS data manager what I need to do in the add-on list page the add-on mapping page what I should be looking for in the settings page each month I go through a random steps, but it never seems to be automatically updating. It’s always a big deal every time he new update comes out so I would like to be able to fix that. Thank you very much. Hope all is well.
one more thing it is updating in steam but not xplane 12 how can i fix that
Are you saying you have two copies of X-Plane 12, one installed via Steam and another installed via e.g. the X-Plane Installer?
Regards,
Tim
Hi Gerard,
I am unclear why you have the Manual mapping for X-Plane GNS430.
If you have only one X-Plane 12 install, it is important that the path in the FMS Data Manager Settings is indeed the location of your X-Plane.exe. Press Save.
In Addon Mappings, Remove X-Plane 12 and X-Plane 12 addons. Press Scan, and these should be correctly detected based on the previously mentioned path. Press Save.
In Addon List select and update X-Plane 12 and X-Plane 12q addons.
Cheers
Ian
Thanks Ian that worked
Hi Gerard,
You are welcome. Glad it is resolved.
Happy flying.
Ian
