I have not been able to fly today because my Fenix A320 says my flightplan is invalid. It was fine yesterday. Nothing has changed on my side and I have checked that the latest AIRAC is loaded into both Simbrief and the aircraft.
Hi, at least one of your flight plans today had the “Detailed Navlog” option disabled. This option must be enabled for Fenix to be able to import your flight plan.
Yes I was trying to experiment so turned that option off once.
I tried the attached plan which you can probably see anyway but no joy, the Fenix refused to load it.
I’m perplexed as only yesterday it was working well - the flight to compare was from EDDB to LIPX.
I do run Elevatex in the background to log flights and this updates almost every day - this is the only thing that might be different in the last 48 hours here.
That’s not a valid route (specifically, ORSOM T75 TIGRA). When I plane the same route on Simbrief, I get “ERROR: AIRWAY “T75” USES INVALID ENDPOINTS”:
Thanks - this is definitely progress. I will select another routing and see what happens. Yes it is odd that the error did not show in the route summary as it has done many times before over the years. Been simming since 1989 !
On the flight that you were not able to import, you had used the following route:
TUVD6C TUVDE Y922 KOPER L614 CHI ARDAM BELOV ERPOG RUPAX VIE DOLON L612 KAPPO L995 TIGRA T75 TIGRA VEMAT
(Note the duplicate TIGRA waypoint with an airway in between)
SimBrief was not handling this as well as it could, leading to an incorrect airway in your final route.
I’ve updated SimBrief to remove such duplicated waypoints/airways now. The route analyzer will also return an “Invalid airway endpoints” error in such cases.
I suspect the flight you generated today using a different route worked correctly? Please let us know if you still have any issues.
