When planning a flight from EGAA to EGAE and selecting an approach, 6 approach options are offered: ILS RWY 26, LOC RWY 26, ILS y RWYU 08, ILS Z RWY 08, LOC Y RWY 08 and LOC Z RWY 08.
I need to practise the NDB approach.
The NDB charts are only visible if I click on the “Aiports” option → Charts → App. The following APP options are shown: ILS DME Z OR LOC DME Z RWY 08 11-1, ILS DME Y OR LOC DME Y RWY 08 11-1, NDB DME RWY 08 16-1, ILS DME OR LOC DME RWY 26 11-3, NDB DME RWY 26 16-2.
In a nutshell, charts NDB DME RWY 08 16-1 and NDB DME RWY 26 16-2 are NOT available for from the Flights (New Flight) interface to b eincluded ion the flight plan.
BTW, they also do not show on the Navigraph integrated MSFS 2020’s C172 G1000.
Hi,
The NDB approaches can´t be coded due to the DME Arc, which references the ILS-DME instead of a VOR/VORDME or a TACAN. A DME Arc can only be coded when the reference fix is a VOR, VORDME, or a TACAN. That is not the case here, and therefore, such procedures can´t be coded according to the ARINC424 standard rules.
I hope that helps,
Richard
