Flight Planning Issues - Hopefully a Simple fix!

Hi There

First of all, apologies if this is not in the correct section.

I am using Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 and the Simbrief website.

I plan my flight on Simbrief, stating departure and arrival airport. as an example, i have just planned a flight from Amsterdam to London Gatwick.

Looking at the route on the simbrief site it shows that i depart from Amsterdam via waypoints LEVKI AM094 AM090 etc however when i load in to Flight Simulator, i download the flight plan on the Flypad ( Airbus A320 FlyByWire) and load the details in to the MCDU and it misses out all the departure points and navigation only starts from IDRID

The MCDU states there is a discrepancy in the plan. This happens from any airport i try to fly from and im sure i have not changed anything i do differently.

Can someone please help as i am unsure what if anything i have done or how to fix this.

I have checked i am using the up to date AIRAC Cycle.

Just managed to get a shot of the MCDU, again i have always been able to plan a flight the same way and i have been able to load in to flight sim with the full route present and identical as it was on the simbrief site

Hi, this is normal. The real aircraft does this as well.

After importing your route, you still need to manually select your SID, STAR, and approach.

Refer to the FlyByWire documentation here, which includes the following note:

Best regards,

Hi There

Thank you very much for the quick reply, would i be able to use Navigraph charts to fill in the gaps or is that not recommended? would i have to actually manually enter this in to the MCDU?

Also, is this the result of a recent change to FS2020, the FlyByWire A320 or some other kind of update? as i have never had to manually add in the SID / STAR or APPR before.

Actually its an ARINC standard - when you uplink a route from the flight planning system into the FMS, the terminal procedures arent uplinked ever. You pull those from the box.
