I would like to suggest a feature for SimBrief: the ability for users to create custom no-fly zones when generating a flight plan.
This would be very useful in situations where a pilot wants to manually avoid a specific area for operational, event, training, or personal preference reasons. For example, it could help avoid restricted airspace, conflict areas, certain FIRs, or regions a virtual airline may not wish to overfly.
A possible implementation could be:
-
Allow users to draw or define a custom area on the map
-
Mark that area as a no-fly zone
-
Have SimBrief automatically generate routes that avoid that zone where possible
This would add a lot of flexibility and realism, especially for virtual airline operations and custom flight planning scenarios.
Thank you for considering this suggestion.
