Here is another format for a redispatch flight plan, for a B787-900 SFO-SYD, departing this morning. This format would also work well, with a couple of mods, within the UA format. This is similar for a FlightKeys format for a current US East Coast operator. For this 787, the redispatch point is BAXIL, with a redispatch airport of NFFN/NAN, and an alternate of NWWW/NOU.
The left column in the fuel ladder is the required fuel analysis from OAK-SYD, note we arent listing an alternate for SYD (as their forecast wx is severe VFR). That is the benefit for redispatch, being able to list alternate none, if you can get away with it. The middle column is the required fuel from BAXIL-SYD, with alternate none. An alternate would be required for SYD if this flight time, BAXIL-SYD, was more than 6 hours. I’m not adding any dispatch add fuel as for today, I see no reason to. DX ADD fuel doesnt get added to the minimum redispatch fuel required for BAXIL-SYD; its there as an insurance policy to make the redispatch happen (enroute WX, ATC etc).
I have the ability to also add specific HOLD fuels at both SYD, as well as NAN (I’d add 15M HLD at NAN if there was a forecast for TS within an hour of getting there; but there isnt today) - it’d be in the RD HOLD bucket. Another option is to add 2HR island reserve fuel for NFFN if i didnt have an alternate available for today.
The fuel column on the right side of the fuel ladder is the full flag fuel required for the OAK-BAXIL-NFFN with full flag 10% flag reserves, with NOU as the alternate. On the far right, we have the PLDW for landing at SYD, and the RDLW for landing at NAN.
In the navlog we have a redispatch reminder above the redispatch fix that BAXIL is the RDFIX, that 61457 is the minimum redispatch fuel required, and 37140 is the min fuel to continue to NFFN along that routing, with all of international flag reserves all added together.
All of the other thou-shalls as in my previous post still apply, like the RIF/ statement in the ATC FPL and so on.
