That loaded instantly for meā¦
Is loading the SimBrief website slow, or is it just the flightplan import?
Is the flight details (airports, procedures, etc) also slow-loading in the app?
Anyone have any problems using SimToolKitPro?
K, this is weirdā¦Simbrief speed is normalā¦generating flight plans, etc. Now though, all of sudden, everything is back to normal, speed wise in loading charts, in the desktop app and on my iPad app, at least for nowā¦
I noted a small issue with Simbrief in that when setting up a flight from EGNT to DABC, it didnāt come up with any routing, it just had āDCTā as the route. Simbrief worked as normal otherwise. Just an observation, maybe it just couldnāt come up with a route.
The real issue that myself and others are reporting is that Charts was super slow, not responding for many minutes, it took me 15 minutes to be able to select origin runway and SID, pretty much like it was hanging. As of 12:10 UTC, it is tracking my flight and seems to be responsive so the issue may be gone.
simbrief is fine for me, when the problem happens its just with loading the individual jeppsen terminal procedure charts. i waited 14 minutes earlier for an airport diagram to load and it never did.
its definitely intermittent. right this moment everything is running perfectly.
Thank you for your updates! When it comes to loading the charts themselves, any slow responses in this area are definitely an Amazon/AWS and/or ISP issue. Most likely the latter, or a combination of both. Those files are delivered over a CDN, and we cannot affect the response times. Our servers do not back those requests - Amazon provides the CDN.
It must be AWS as I cannot see how so many different ISPās would have the same issue, and every other aspect of my internet works fine. Anyhow, it seems to be working now, am 2 hours into a flight and Charts is tracking properly and is responsive to any mouse clicks I may perform in Charts. I am sure someone will report if the slowdown occurs again! Thanks for the great product, canāt fly my Xplane without itā¦Ian
That is not impossible! Iām happy to hear that it is working normally for you now though. Letās hope that the normal behavior is restored for everyone as soon as possible!
The slowdown has indeed occurred again. The app loads fine, but charts are very slow. I tried accessing an RNAV chart about 2 minutes ago and the little wheel is still turning. My 700MB ISP connection is solid. I am fine waiting⦠just adding a data point for your info.
Thank you for the additional data point!
Just to confirm - we are still not able to reproduce this in Sweden (different ISPs).
Simlink also not working too
Adding to this, I switched my iPad to cellular (Verizon) and the issue resolved itself, which definitely I guess confirms it may be more of a ISP issue.
Yup, internet seems slow againā¦
and simbrief is even worseā¦
Iām having these problems since long time, and Iām pretty sure its not my ISPā¦
Could you try a VPN? Maybe one that can route through Sweden?
Just restarted Simlink and received a prompt to update. Installed the update and it successfully connected and so far the performance appears normal.
