Why does flying within Europe or to/from Europe have to be so difficult. I wish that when you enter a flight plan for validation it would auto correct, or give you options. So many restrictions.
The document listing all the rules is available here:
Last I checked, there’s over one hundred thousand rules in there.
Even websites entirely dedicated to finding compliant routes (such as autorouter.aero), sometimes take several minutes to find one route, or even fail to find any routes.

Tim
At least with EuroControl validation we can ensure the route meets requirements. For other regions you would have to read through individual AIP’s documents to comply and even then miss restrictions.
Usually only takes a few minutes with the RAD to resolve.

autorouter.aero how does one create a boeing 767-300 aircraft
This is why I miss PFPX. Being able to autoroute based on the current RAD was fantastic. Yes, occasionally a route would need tweaking for a SUP, but the options available in the autoroute function made this very easy. In SimBrief, if there isn’t a ‘real world’ route available and you have to generate your own, you could be hours trying to get something that’s compliant.
The maps aren’t user friendly either, you can’t just ‘click’ an airway to check its endpoints, or query a waypoint. I also miss the ability to autoroute just a section of the route string. In PFPX the command AUTO+ or AUTOH were so useful. ![]()
I’m still using exactly for this purpose ![]()
How are you still able to use it?
Sent you a PM Martin.
