I get the following error during flight in Switzerland since I downloaded the newest Cycle 2502 Airac navigation data (X-Plane 12.1.3 Linux):
An ATC controller for LFLP in file Custom Data/1200 atc data/Earth nav data/atc.dat which requires an associated airport does not have one. This indicates a damaged file.
I have redownloaded and reinstalled the newest navigraph data with no effect. Would you mind checking this problem for the new Cycle 2503?
Hi Reto,
The issue is that this airport is missing in X-Plane and, therefore, the message. We don’t offer airports/runways in X-Plane; therefore, we have no influence on whether they exist.
Please report this to Laminar Research via the Gateway so they can add/change the airport in one of their following updates.
The file itself is not corrupt and works as expected, this is only a hint.
LFLP is part of X-Plane since at least Version 11. So I cannot proceed to X-Plane Bug reporting unless you can tell me exactly what I should ask them: https://gateway.x-plane.com/airports/LFLP/show
Yes. It is in the default X-Plane 11 and 12 installation.
However: I have re-done the same flight today in Switzerland and the message did not appear again. I have then parked and flown a loop at LFLP and the message did also not appear there. So let us then wait and see if other users report that. If not, consider it a strange rare issue since I could not reproduce it today.
All right, Reto, nevertheless, I will ask Laminar Research what this message exactly means. I have no idea; the file is not corrupt, and this airport exists in XP.
