Error importing weight into the standard 2024 A320

Created a flight on Simbrief (EDDM to LIMC) but while importing the flightplan works fine, i get an error while importing weights:

An error occurred while importing: error: expecting a pilot section.

I have no clue what error “expecting a pilot section” means of what it refers to. Can’t find anything about it in the help section either.
Thing is that on other flightplans the weight import seems to work just fine sometimes.

Anybody any clue what the error means or what i’m doing wrong?

Hi…,

Welcome.

This sometimes happens when:

  • The wrong file type is being imported, or

  • The file was modified, truncated, or exported from another tool

SimBrief import only works with:

  • SimBrief-generated OFP files (TXT / XML)

Please check that you are creating/editing/generating a flight plan in SimBrief, without external editing.

If the issue persists, please post the flight string and provide the detailed steps you have taken for importing into the MCDU.

The issue persist alright.
I don’t do any external editing (at least not that I’m aware of).

Flight string (if that is what you mean by that):
From EDDM
MERS4E MERSI Y100 ATMAX Z999 BEMKI L607 XEBIX Y740 NATAG LORLO ATPED LUSIL EVRIP EVRI3E
To LIMC

I don’t fill in anything special, just leave it at AUTO (payload etc…).

Steps:
I enter depature and arrival locations.
Select aircraft info: A20N A320-200N → iniBuilds (MSFS) A320Neo(V2).
Leave the rest like it is.
Generate flight.

I then load MSFS2024, select the iniBuild A320, set a location (in this case EDDM, some gate). Hit fly.

  • Enter the aircraft, auto start (just not to loose my precious time).
  • Open the ingame EFB (not the one from the aircraft).
  • Select Simbrief Dispatch icon
  • Select View Flight whioch load the flight just generated in Simbrief.
  • Click Import Route: works fine !
  • Click Import Weights: An error occurred while importing: error: expecting a pilot section.

And then i’m stuck…

Hi…,

It seems there can be issues Importing weights in SimBrief Dispatch Main EFB .

Please try using the left EFB of the A320 NEO V2 to import plan and modify weights.
