I’m very new to SimBrief but have followed a few tutorials on YT on creating a VFR flight plan.
I have done this for a CS172 using the latest data (also updated in the sim) but trying to import it via SimBrief Dispatch from within the aircraft I always get the same error whenever my route includes waypoints that are defined by coordinates.
I even get the same issue if selecting a suggested route rather than my own.
The flight plan then just shows a direct flight to my destination (no waypoints). I can load the plan from the World Map selecting the file and then the waypoints seem to be preserved and it all loads. But from Simbrief Import Route it never works.
This is in MSFS 2020, not 2024 - sorry I should have said upfront!
The flight plan file will load from file, in the World Map and be correct, just not from within SimBrief in the aircraft. I’ve also uploaded the pln file for you.
As I mentioned, in MSFS 2024, I was able to load the flight plan created from your waypoints.
In MSFS 2020, I don’t see those waypoints loaded. Given that the Navigraph Database is the same for both, I can only suggest it is an MS/ASOBO interpretation of the SimBrief flight plan.
Ok thanks for getting back to me - I found a similar post by someone else on the forum with FS2020 having the very same problem with no resolution, other than the work around of loading the route via the .pln file in the World Map page.
Shame it doesnt work properly but I’ll just have to do that instead.
I expect its just an issue for VFR flying rather than IFR via set routes.
Other issue raised by someone else is here MSFS not recognizing coordinates with exactly the same issue - using coordinate waypoints.
