EGCC SID Amendment

Hello, I’m a controller with VATUK and there have been quite a few instances of simbrief giving an incorrect SID based on the MTOW of an aircraft.

The LISTO 2Y/R departures are restricted to non-jet aircraft, jet aircraft up to MTOW 35,000kg, and BAe 146/Avro RJ series, E135/E145, CRJ1/2/7/9, Gulfstream 5 and BD-700 Global Express.

It appears Simbrief gives the majority of aircraft above said limitations the LISTO2Y/2R departures which results in us amending re-clearing aircraft onto the SANBA deps.

It’s not the biggest issue but it can be a little frustrating and time consuming when very busy.

Is there a way for Simbrief to recognise this limitation from the aircraft selected and apply it?

Hello and many apologies for the delay in replying!

You’re right, SImBrief’s automatic SID selection doesn’t account for the LISTO 2Y/R availability restriction. I’ll raise this with the SimBrief team however, in the meantime pilots can override the SID manually before dispatch to match the departure they would expect to be cleared for. I know this doesn’t help you as a controller but you could you put out a temporary NOTAM about this until we find a solution?
