EFIV-Star SOTI4B to RWY 22

EFIV-Star SOTI4B, error on approach. At waypoint UZCIL, the maximum speed is listed as 240 in the charts. However, the FMC of the Fenix A320 always displays 259 and reports this as an error. Yellow dot. The speed cannot be changed in the FMC…? Can you change the speed?

Hi,
This speed doesn´t come from the navdata …

MSFS2024 1.6.34.0, AIRAC 2513 installed, stock scenery, ILS22-Y via SOTI4B STAR:

You see, UZCIL, the restrictions: max 240 kts, at or above 3,600 feet.

It is very likely a calculated speed issue somewhere because the speeds in the source data are rounded to the 10th, which means the ARINC424 sources don´t offer 259, only 250 or 260 (when).

Cheers,
Richard

When the Airbus shows a speed that doesn’t match the coded restriction and displays a “speed error”, it means it knows of the restriction but predicts it will not be able to make it; it’s likely the required vertical path might be too steep given the current weather (winds will affect the aircraft’s maximum rate of descent at idle thrust). In which case you may need to use speed brakes to help the aircraft slow down.

Tim

Yes, I had done that!

I checked, and now the speed is correct again…
