Hello – One thing that I have some across and found really desiring from SimBrief is the ability to add MEL text to my OFPs. I have a couple virtual airlines, and I’d like the ability to use the buillt-in Simbrief Integration in virtual airline tracking software - such as vAMSYS - to add custom text that appears under the current “MEL ITEM INFO” or maintenance exceptions portion of the flight plan for specific aircraft.
For example, say I have an A319-100 that I would like to mark as having in inoperative APU bleed valve. I’d like the ability to go into either the SimBrief OFP selections and enter in the text, “MEL 36-12-02 | APU Bleed Valve INOP”. Once I generate the flight plan (or if vAMSYS prompts SimBrief to generate in the case of a VA booking) I’d like it to appear under the aforementioned maintenance issue or MEL ITEM INFO area, depending on the OFP layout.
I don’t think it’s necessary to have SimBrief to generate a random MEL for flights, although that is certainly a cool feature that could be fun to implement for certain OFPs generated for specific add-ons such as the ToLiss or Fenix, but rather just the ability to add the text under that specific maintenance area so that it appears at or near the top of the flight plans in a prominent space. Right now, I have to add it as RMK/ text and it usually appears buried in the FLT PLN review area after the waypoints.
