Hello,
this is an topic which quit annoys every Frankfurt controller at VATSIM. Simbrief is constantly selecting the wrong rwys (i know it may be due to winds- but is there no other way to select it and get it right for Frankfurt?). For example just minutes ago someone taxied from the northside (Terminal 1) to the complete south because Simbrief selected 25L as dep (as i could see it was made with simbrief see: RMK/TCAS SIMBRIEF /V/).
As local Person and VATSIM controller i know the SOPs and they state always either 25C+18 dep or 07C and 18 dep depending on wind and regulations. What Simbrief does is, that it selects randomly 07L or 07R / 25L or 25R departure- which is in all ways ONLY an arrival Rwy. Lately i wanted to fly traffic patterns in Frankfurt and no joke - simbrief selected 07R dep and 18 arrival which is a complete mess up- 18 can’t be an arrival rwy due to mountaineous Terrain and due to noise abatement and the wall in front of the RWY.
There is an exception if acfts parked in the south - then they use 25L/07R but its not so often like- lets say 20% at a full day- max., but then i think users could select 25L/07R manually.
I kindly ask you if you can check and change this, preventing also people taking off from wrong rwys at VATSIM. That would be appreciated.
