EDDB OGB06R RNAV TRANS wrong MCDU behaviour

Hallo, when entering the STAR into the MCDU (XP12, Toliss) it automatically enters “OGBER” as “VIA”. According to Airbus FCOM, if there´s only one corressponding waypoint for the STAR the MCDU should do it automatically. However, it only happens for me in EDDB, that thje whole STAR (in this case TRANS), so the whole DBxxx points are being overridden due to the automatically entered “VIA”. I then did delete the “VIA” manually and the DBxxx waypoints, the intended STAR where visible again as waypoints on the F-PLN page.
At least from a P3D user I know, he´s encountering the same.
I also never had this “effect” on other STAR / TRANS besides EDDB.
Thanks for looking into it. Cheers, Daniel.

The VIA auto-selection logic comes from the ToLiSS code, not the navigation data.

Tim

Hi Tim, other STARS/TRANS work AS they should even If an auto VIA is filled in…

I will test it in MSFS and see what will happen there… (not really sure If it is a Toliss thing, might be, don’t know).

If the Fenix behaves the same way, what could we do then?

Hi,
We have nothing to do with the logic behind - we only “offer” the data. So, when the MCDU automatically enters a VIA, where it shouldn´t, then please report this to ToLiss. That is nothing what we have in our hands, sorry…

Cheers,
Richard

Hi Richard, thank you, I tested with Fenix MSFS24, it worked. So definitely Toliss.
Thanks for your statemt considering the data :+1:

Thanks for the feedback … I have seen Tim has given the same answer
Anyways, looks really like a ToLiss logical issue …

Have a lovely evening & thanks for your report!

Richard
