Dear Community,

As there was no Simbrief profile for the Dornier 228-100 yet, I decided to make one myself, matching the real world values. The profile is based on the BAE Jetstream JS41, as it has almost the same cruising speed and fuel burn, as the Dornier 228-100, but I of course adapted it, to match the real plane.

I decreased the Fuel Factor down to M20 (20 % less than the BAE Jetstream JS41).

Changelog:

  1. I changed the name from BAE Jetstream JS41 to Dornier 228-100
  2. I adapted the weights to match real world performance values and adjusted the fuel burn
  3. I added the engine type TPE331
  4. I changed the cruising altitude to FL150, which is the maximum ceiling of the Dornier 228-100 (without a pressurized cabin)
  5. I changed the Minimum Runway length to 620 m (2034 ft)

Hey! It’s been almost 3 years. I would find the Do 228 quite useful and saw the profile you created, but I cannot agree that the Do 228 and J41 have similar fuel burns and cruise speeds. The J41 is considerably faster (540 km/h vs 278 km/h and 420 kg vs 132 kg). Those are substantial differences.

Hi Ian! In this case, I was pointing out to incorrect values in the Do 228 profile created by KevinAviationHD rather than any time elapsed.

I’m having issues logging in to the Do228 EFB and I’m unable to import a flight plan. I know this issue was reported by several people earlier. Did you guys do anything specific to get it working again?
