Does San Martin (SAMI or SATP) Exist at all?

We have an Argentine player who’s been looking for this facility, but I don’t see anything in the area that other non-authoritative sources say this San Martin (City of Mendoza) field exists. I found the DOP VOR in Mendoza and a nearby field (Plummerio?) but apparently that’s not it. SAMI and SATP of course, are null values. I wonder if ANAC even reported this as a facility.

Hi,
I have checked the AIP, and these two airports are not listed as public airports. I can’t say if they exist, but they are possibly VFR or private fields.

Usually, these are country issues because they don’t offer the data (if they have one) to the public data provider.

Here is the official list of airports from the AIP Argentina:

Cheers
Richard

Those smaller airfields in Argentina are published in a way that cannot be tracked properly by the data providers. Therefore they are incomplete and need to be requested case by case.

Thank you @NAVData Richard and @jpschuchna !

Hello all! Thank you for looking into the issue. I am the the FS2020 and FS2024 user that is looking for the facility in question and had posted on the issue on forums.flightsimulator.com.

Just to be clear SATP does NOT exist in Argentina to my knowledge (nor has it ever existed).

SAMI does exsit, is public and is listed in MADHEL data (website, API). It’s local code is STI.

Here is a screenshot from the MADHEL site:

You can get a complete list of airfields/airports in Argentina with data about runways and all the other details via:

MADHEL API: https://datos.anac.gob.ar/madhel/api/v2/airports/
