Apologies if this has been requested before. I did search for this but found nothing requesting this specific thing. I mostly found things regarding flightplan waypoints.
A feature that would be nice for VFR flight with charts would be having different coordinate formats shown in the waypoint information. Currently Degrees Minuets seconds is shown. But if you attempt to add such a waypoint to the flight plan in the MSFS2020 GPS (I assume 2024 as well) you have to convert the waypoint to decimal degrees. The GPS wants it in decimal degrees if making a custom waypoint for a flight plan.
So basically im requesting to have the computer program do the math for me so i can just look at the waypoint information and plug in the correct LAT/LON to quickly build the plan in the GPS. If I wanted to add a random VFR waypoint to my flight plan i would have to copy paste the coordinates from charts into a converter. Which isn’t hard its just adding a extra step that i feel could be done in charts.
I made a mock up of how this could look with a screenshot of charts and GIMP. The waypoint is a VFR waypoint in North East Florida. I also added decimal degree because why not im sure someone will find it usefull.
