Different alternate airports

Hi,

I notice that planning a flight directly from SimBrief or using the API gives me different alternate airports.
When i, for example, plan a flight from LEMD to LEBL using an A320 directly from SimBrief, i get LEPA as alternate but if i do the same plan using SimBrief API i get LFBO as alternative.
Another example, LEMD to LEBB from SimBrief web, get LEXJ as alternate. Via API i get LEMD as alternate.

Is there any explanation for this behavior?

Hi, the original API still uses the old alternate finding logic.

Whereas directly in SimBrief, it uses newer logic which prioritizes airports within the same country, for example, among various other changes.

There is a task to eventually move the original API to the new alternate finding logic, but we don’t have an ETA for that.
