This is not a new issue. Ever since VATSIM live traffic was introduced in Charts for iOS, the app will become extremely slow after enabling live traffic after a few minutes. If you disable live traffic then the app becomes responsive again. This is running on a 9th gen iPad.

Unfortunately I cannot reproduce this, Charts remains pretty snappy for me, even on a 5th gen iPad mini on iOS 26.3
It might be an idea to check whether your network/internet connection is playing a role in this issue. Rebooting the router and checking if the same sluggishness persists. It may also be good to check battery condition and clearing app cache or offloading/uninstalling apps you’re not using.
Thanks for checking. I believe the issue may have been outdated ios. I updated the ios and it seems ok now.
