Charts Issue? Maps/Charts Taking Minutes to Load!

THANK YOU for contacting them!!! It’s working again!

10pm UPDATE: I was too excited… problem has NOT been fixed, sigh.

3 days later and the issue is back…this really sucks!!

This is an ISP issue. Please take it up with the ISP.

Cheers
Ian

Did they not just confirm that they are having server issues? Keep in mind that estimates such as “3-4 hours” very seldom end up being accurate when it comes to IT, and the issue may very well take longer to resolve.

Please note that our servers are hosted on Amazon Web Services, and all possible metrics that we have to go by are telling us that we have had zero service interruptions and/or slowdowns. If the slow performance would be caused by our servers, we would be able to see it and likely be able to do something about it, but such is not the case at the moment!

The issues reported so far in this thread all have one thing in common and that is AT&T as ISP. The slowdowns have not been reported by anyone with a different ISP, and we are not able to reproduce them ourselves either.

AT&T has had issues with AWS in the past, and there seems to be an ongoing discussion about this in their community forums where the symptoms are identical to the ones reported in this thread:

Full disclosure: there is nothing that Navigraph can do about this. Unfortunately, you will have to wait for AT&T to resolve the issues on their end. Judging by the posters in the thread linked above, some big players are already involved and pushing them, so let’s hope that it is figured out ASAP!

Kind Regards,
Malte
