Hi, I flew the attached Simbrief OFP from LEMD to LPPT with an Alternate to LPFR. On approaching LPPT I saw the wxr was very bad at LPPT, so I went into Charts and pressed the button I (Info) button next to LPFR on the Flights page, under “Destination Alternates”. This brought up the button to “Add to route”, pressing this gives you the option to “add as your destination” which gave a direct route from the last fix in my flight plan to LPPT (UPULO), which did not help as I was already at LPPT.
I would have expected a button “Add your alternate” and then it would put in the Alternate Route as per the simbrief OFP Page 2), ie DUZOP1S DUZOP DCT ODEMI DCT
I could obviously cut and paste this from the OFP, but with everything going on when you divert, ATC, briefings, charts and just flying the plane, there is very litle time to do this, especially as in the cockpit it is not easy with touch-screens to do this
If this funcionality is not available yet, pls can it be considered for the future?
Thanks Ian, I already had LPFR (note not LFPR) set as an Aternate after I imported it from Simbrief (see image below), but you can see it has not drawn in the route from LPPT to the alternate
This drawing of the route to the Alternate is not in Charts. I have changed your category to Wishlist. Please vote for it, and we can gauge interest from the number of votes.

As a final summary of the case for this, the alternate section of a route is no different in importance from the main route:- Diversions are common and create a heavy workload for pilots, so there needs to be an easy mechanism in Charts to see and fly your alternate route.
