I have the steam version I just downloaded it and it says that some file is not found on my app data for the CRJ

Hi Richard I have the Steam version for MFS20 and CRJ I bought on the marketplace in the sim last week.
But you had never installed any other sim version before (like a Alpha version of the sim, like the sim from the Marketstore, …), right?

The same here, “Microsoft flight simulator not found”, i bought the game on the steam platform.

first of all - thanks for your patience and your reports. Please, download the manual installer again from our website and try all again. When you get a Error-Message, please post the screen of this message here.
Also, I have enabled the logging, when we need it but step by step … I´m currently not 100% sure, where the issue is exactly because in most cases, the setup works as expected - there are only a handful which are not working but of course, we want fix this also.
Again, thanks for your patience and all your help … download the setup again please and post the screenshot with the error-message when you get one.

I haved CRJ purchased MSFS In-Game store. Game is bought from Steam but Standard → Premium Deluxe upgrade was purchased from Microsoft (in-game).

Thanks for changing the installer to show the details of the error immediately!
In my case, I have changed the Windows user name from kasez to ek in the past.
It turns out that the installer has found a past username.
As a countermeasure, create a dummy user name folder in the past and copy UserCfg.opt to the dummy folder.
After successfully finding the kasez folder, the installer can refer to UserCfg.opt to find the original MSFS2020 folder,
And the installation is complete!

I have exactly the same error when I try and install 2103
I have the same issue. I bought MSFS from Steam and the CRJ from the marketplace and cannot install the data. Error shows Addon Aerosoft CRJ Professional not found for the selected simulator. Setup will be terminated. Is there any other way to do this?
And how do you have changed the user name? Because we read the the registry from
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Shell Folders
to get the roaming path or the local path. So, it looks like this is a windows issue or you haven´t used a fully supported way to change the user because this regkey returns normally the user-folders of the current logged in user.
… but anyway, I would recommend to reinstall your system to get a clean system.

I’m having the same issue - see screenshots below.
EDIT: I’ve located the install location for my CRJ - it is the following “SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\MicrosoftFlightSimulator\Official\Steam\aerosoft-crj”
Should I cut and paste this folder into the Community Folder?
No, because than the CRJ doesn´t find the correct data. Please gents - give me time and don´t try to make any experiments. That makes following support much, much, much more difficult.

You’re correct, I placed into Community and the install completed but, as you stated the aircraft doesn’t detect the new NavData.

After moving the folder specifed above, into my Community Folder allowed for the installation of the 2103 CRJ Professional Installer. I then just cut and pasted the folder from Community back into the Official folder where I originally found it, and alas the AIRAC Cycle has updated!
See my photo below! I know this isn’t ideal for an install, but it did work!
