After my c: drive became overloaded, I moved the contents of the C:\Users\Dell\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft Flight Simulator\Packages to a new location (E:\MSFS\Packages).
I can now no longer access Navigraph Academy in MSFS2020 and cannot install it as it says it cannot find the folder.
I have tried a clean install of Hub and Simlink after using an uninstall tool to remove all files, and same result.
You need to be very careful about moving the community folder from one drive to another. A lot of things can go wrong, especially with user permissions.
You didn’t specifiy whether you use MSFS2020 or MSFS2024, there are similarities but here is a good guide to show you how
Having noticed that Flybywire apps also had the same problem when using the Flybywire installer, I have resolved this issue.
The problem is caused as both of these developers use external programs to install the content; when copy / pasting files to the new location, only the top level folder is moved and none of the content, but as the installer finds the folder in the new location it blocks the installation using the app.
The Flybywire installer gave an error warning saying “folder already exists” so I deleted the folder and hey presto - installed without issue, taking a clue from Flybywire I did the same with the Navigraph folders and was able to use the installer again.
