These approaches both have charts in the Charts App, but they are not actually present in the navdata. I was able to create and add both of these in the nav databases of several 3rd party aircraft, so I can easily select them from the FMS and fly them. However, 3rd party ATC addons like BeyondATC and Sayintentions use the sim’s navdata (be it the default navdata or Navigraph navdata) so they cannot assign those approaches or accept requests for them. In real life, these charted visual approaches are very common at KSFO.
Hi,
Both are visual approaches, so I´m unsure what you mean by “add them”. Where and what do you expect? Visual approaches can´t be coded and are also not part of the ARINC424 standard database.
These charted approaches both have navaids, so they can basically be coded as RNAV approaches that guide you towards the localizer. For the Quiet Bridge Visual, many airlines have a special ‘FMS Bridge Visual’ that is contained within the nav database and can be selected in the FMS. I know that you won’t include airline specific approaches, but the same could be done for the Tip Toe Visual and Quiet Bridge visual based on their respective charts.
But the minimums for an RNAV approach are different from those for a visual approach. So the main question is, why is it designed as a visual, when you could it design as RNAV too?
But anyway, I’m sorry we may not change/add approaches from our source data provider.
