Relatively big addition to the simbrief portfolio, but what I am thinking of is a briefing package like IRL where you get the most important information about your flight.
For example:
- Flight through china: Airspace uses meters. What to expect? (Getting assigned meters, resulting in odd feet number etc)
- Flying oceanic: SLOP, what is it and how does it work. Where do you start your SLOP?
- Flying in the US: TA + TL always 18000/FL180. Altimiter Setting always inHg instead of QNH. STAR clearance differences compared to europe (STAR clearance = descend clearance as published, whereas in europe you explicitly get an altitude from the controller.). “Heavy” appendix needed on every call, not just on checkin with a controller. No pushback and startup clearence from Ground, but instead from Ramp control or on own descretion if uncontrolled or no ramp online.
You could accumulate briefings over time and add stuff for the bigger and more popular airports like Frankfurt (eg. sidestep on RWY 25L + 25C), Amsterdam (expect direct via SPL and then vectors), Madeira (wind limits) etc.
While some of this stuff is within the airport charts, it’s burried beneith a lot of text. A briefing package would give pilots a compressed summary of stuff to look out for.
