At a lot of Addons Airports ILS broken with Navigraph (FS2020)

Is there a possibility, that you fix this issues? On many Airports, for example, KLAS, EDDS; OOMS, HECA and much more, ILS and even RNP App. take you directly into the ground way before the Runway. With standard MSFS Navdata the problem is gone.

But it is very annoying to change the data every time before the flight, and every day, I discover new broken airports.

I really consider to terminate the supsriction :frowning:

First of all, welcome to Navigraph.

As you can see in the forum and other forums, there is no report about your reported issue. To look into it further, is it possible to take one example we can try to reproduce?

To be on the same page:

  • Do you use any 3rd party sceneries(you wrote addon airports), or can we expect that the issue is reproducible with the stock sceneries too?
  • Which aircraft have you used? Can we expect this to also happen with the stock C172 equipped with the G1000?

We will try to reproduce it but we need such details, thank you!

Hello,

there are many reports about this issue in other MSFS Forums, some are in german language.

I only use 3rd party Airports.

Take as an example Flytampa KLAS (all Runways with ILS effected) the issue is also discussed in there own forum, and has been identified as an Navigraph issue.

As far as I know from these forum’s, the problem is, that Asobo elevation of this Airports is wrong, the Addon developers has corrected it accordingly, causing issues with ILS and Rnav, because Navigraph is overriding there own Radio Aid models (this is, what Flytampa wrote).

Hence their models are overriding MSFS default Navaids, the problem is gone without NG.

I tried Addon planes (PMDG 737 /777, Fenix, FSS B727) I can’t remember if I tested default planes, but I guess yes.

The only possible work around in the past was, to put all these sceneries at last position, below navigraph-navdata entry, but this isn’t working anymore, your entry is reset as last one all the time.

Thanks, ok - I can´t speak for 3rd party addons, and it is also impossible to test all 3rd party addons; therefore, I would recommend following test case, which makes it easier to reproduce:

  1. We take an example airport like EDDS
  2. We use the default scenery, so no 3rd party scenery
  3. We use a default aircraft like the C172 with the G1000
  4. We use the ILS approach 07
    => Results

Then add the 3rd-party EDDS scenery and repeat the process to compare the results.

Which EDDS scenery do you use?

Ok Richard, I’ll test it this evening and get back to you.

I use Justsim, but also tested RDPresets in the past, with same results.

I’m not sure, if EDDS is a good example, there was originally no Airport at all, and Asobo later added one as “handcrafted”

so, I tested everything, EDDS with and without Addon (Justsim) with Standard C172 G1000, and suddenly, both versions worked on both Runways (months ago it didn’t)

But, I tested again OOMS and KLAS, with the Cessna, KLAS has the problem on all Runways (with Flytampa) with default OR Navigraph deactivated, it works fine.

OOMS (double T) works on 26R, on 26L/08R, you fly straight into the App Lights.

I tested all Airports also with PMDG 737, same results.

On Avsim etc. are several complaints abput verious Addon Airports, and most people advise to turn of Navigraph to get it to work right.
