The APR Charts for MMTM are not available in the G3000
When planning my flight MMQT to MMTM, the charts for the VOR Z RWY 32 are not available in the SF50 G3000. As preferred source is NAVIGRAPH selected and the NAVIGRAPH Avionics PlugIn G3000/G5000 v2.1.0 is installed. In the NAVIGRAPH application the chart is available. Sadly, when selecting the source LIDO in the G3000, the chart VOR Z RWY 32 is available.
Hi. I found this post trying to figure out why RNAV Z Rwy 19L isn’t listed in my fs2024 vision jet’s G3000. According to the hub, I’m using G3000/G5000 plugin v2.1.0, same as OP when they mentioned their issue.
You mentioned an update is available, but how do I find/install that?
The new versions were released on the 18th, but were reverted in the morning on the next day due to an unfortunate connection to the AIRAC cycle release.
We have made adjustments, and the latest versions should now be available again!
Sorry for the hassle.
Seems that I still having problems with the Navdata in the HJet. That are still out of date runway data for EDDK displaying there. But I’m able to choose Navigraph Charts in the Options Page. That’s working.
Thanks for your fast responses! I was able to upgrade via the hub, but I still doesn’t see any of KLAS’s RNAV Z approaches when selecting an approach.
Such approaches – known as RNAV (RNP) in the United States and RNP AR elsewhere – are filtered out (intentionally) by Working Title’s Garmin avionics. See for example:
The recent plugin updates only address the unavailability of some specific charts (and, more generally, the Navigraph plugins for the G3X/G1000/G3000 only add support for Navigraph Charts and Simbrief flight plan import, but do not affect the navigation functions of the avionics – including available approaches – in any way).
Tim, thank you so much for explaining that. I literally learn something everyday in this hobby. Next time the controller tells me my charts are old, I’ll be able to explain why I can’t accept an RNP AR instead of just apologizing to them! Kind of wish those approached still appeared in the list and gave a error/warning if you clicked them.
That’s outside of Navigraph’s control, and also that would be totally unrealistic. In the real unit, these approaches are also filtered out (i.e. do not appear in the list), except in some aircraft which are equipped and certified for RNP AR (which, as I understand it, is a very small percentage of G1000/G3000/G5000-equipped aircraft).
Showing approaches and the erroring out when selecting them would be a totally fictional “sim-ism” and I suspect most people (myself included) would dislike that very much.
