Issue: when activating the Traffic option anything that is datat consuming or hard loading for the app to process crashes the app itself. This happens atleast once or twice a flight.

You might like to try a different internet connection such as a hotspot on mobile phone, in case the issue is network related.

Will do, this just started to happen with this new update also, just seems like the app overloads itself or hangs and then crashes.
Same problem for me with ios 18.3 with version 8.37.1.

I have been experiencing this issue since the introduction of traffic and ATC overlays. When aircraft position lock and ATC and traffic are displayed simultaneously, the present aircraft position icon flashes and eventually leads to an app crash within 5 min to 30 min. I have tested this across two different iPads.
Experiencing the same on a 2020 iPad Air. When the online traffic / VATSIM services are enabled the app will become super sluggish after 10 mins and eventually crash.
Sounds like a memory leak to me. Quite frustrating.
