Hi there,
I use a Tab S9 with the Navigraph Charts App.
2 issues -
-
The OFP functionality when using the S pen, is stuck on the pencil. (so you can no longer toggle it when using the pen. I want to scroll with the s pen but it always selects on so I end up drawing lines over the OFP).
-
Can we choose a default colour and thickness for the handwriting tool? It defaults to Red and thick for me.
Hi there,
Clearing Cache has no affect, still having the same issues.
- Can we change this in an app setting? I frequently change flights etc. I can’[t understand this is the default choice.
We will look into the S pen behavior, that’s definitely not expected.
Regarding the default colour/thickness, of course this is something we can look into also!
Thank you Gordon,
Do let me know if you want me to test anything for you.
Would certainly look forward to the ability to change the default thickness and colour (and long reported issues with writing cleanly on the OFP, ‘snapping’ re-draw which prevents dots etc.)
If you can, a video of pen and OFP acting strangely would be really helpful!
Thank you very much for that! We will look further into this
Hi Gordon,
Wondering if there is an update to this at this time?
This is on developments agenda, I’ll follow up for Monday’s backlog meeting.
Hi there,
Any updates on this? (3 months since reporting).
Thank you!
We are still looking into this, however there are conceptual UX changes that need to be considered before a fix can be made. Unfortunate news but we will follow up with development.
Hi @aceridgey
Thank you for your report. When we released Scratchpads, we introduced a smart stylus mode for the OFP, Charts annotation, and Scratchpads. This means that when the app detects a smart stylus (such as the S-Pen), it assumes that you want to draw with the pen and automatically enables the draw mode.
However, you should still be able to scroll with your finger, even while the draw mode is active. The idea is that you can quickly scroll with your finger and draw with the pen without having to switch modes manually.
If this behavior does not work well for your workflow, please let us know. We’ll take your feedback into account for a future update on this functionality.
Best Regards,
Albin
Hi Albin,
Thank you for your reply, appreciated.
Yeah it doesn’t work for me, I prefer to be able to toggle using the pen (avoiding finger marks on the tablet is the priority).
