ANA and LAN Airlines OFP

Hi,

Is it possible to add All Nippon Airways (ANA) OFP format as well as LAN Airlines OFP format? I can provide a real world OFP from both airlines. ANA uses their own flight planning software and LAN Airlines uses Jetplan by Jeppesen. Although LAN OFP that I have is from the 2010’s, not sure if they still use Jetplan after the merge with TAM Airlines.

Thanks.

I ain’t someone who works there. But perhaps I could see the OFP? We can message via Discord perhaps?

I don’t have /do Discord. Check out the link below.

LAN Airlines OFP (non-ETOPS format)

Below is the link LAN Airlines OFP with ETOPS. The next link is ANA OFP

ANA (ANA Nippon Airways) OFP

One thing to note is the ANA OFP, while it might have met the JCAB requirements for ETOPS back in 2016, it does not meet current international standards. Without knowing anyone at ANA, this OFP was derived in 2016, their OFP vendor did not have all-three scenarios until 2017. International standards state the EDTO scenarios are based on:

  • Single-Engine pressurized cabin at 1 E/O speed. This scenario came about as a part of recodification of ETOPS planning standards in 2007, due to the single-engine altitude capabilities of the newer twin-engine aircraft. The 767-200 in the mid 80s could only dream about a single-engine service ceiling in the 20s - now that is commonplace. This scenario can be limiting in corner cases. In discussions I had with Boeing’s ETOPS SMEs 10 years ago, this scenario came about due to the single-engine capabilities of the 777, the A330, A350. You’re doing a Trans-Pac ETOPS leg, think NRT-LAX, and the single-engine level off altitude is directly into face of the howling winter Japanese Jet Stream going back to Japan, your ground speed could be slower at altitude than down at 10K, and out of the Jet. That’s the usual culprit where the 1EO Pressurized Cabin scenario can be most limiting. This OFP does not address it.
  • All-Engine depressurized cabin, usually calculated at AE LRC. One of the original ETOPS scenarios going back to the 80s. This OFP addresses that scenario.
  • Single-Engine depressurized cabin at the operator’s 1 EO planning speed. This OFP does also address that scenario.
