If I use “follow ownship” on my iPad everytime I touch/move/zoom the map this function is deactivated. I think it is a little bit better if I untick “Auto Follow” in the Charts settings. Maybe there could be a setting that I can move the card free for e.g. 5 seconds to look for something and then it snap back to centered mode.
