Aircraft icon/position on TAXI ROUTINGS charts

Hello,

I would love to have this feature done, as it would help a lot taxing in large airports.

As you know, Airport type charts are georeferenced and you can see your aircraft position as you taxi. But, these Airport charts are not as detailed as TAXI ROUTINGS charts, and the latest are not georeferenced, so you can not see your aircraft position when using those charts.

As an example, here is a Madrid LEMD comparison between AIRPORT and TAXI ROUTINGS charts.

When ATC gives you some complex taxi instructions, the second one helps a lot. So, in resume, I think that getting TAXI ROUTINGS charts type geo-referenced as AIRPORT charts are, would be really useful.

Thanks in advance

For information, at FSExpo 2025, we demonstrated a taxi routing application, which we are developing. No release date yet.

Cheers

Great!

Would be too much work to implement what I said?

Our development team advises:

This is nothing we can work on, since these charts are not georeferenced by our supplier. They are not drawn to scale.

We recommend you use the enroute map and zoom in to the airport (as recommended here https://forum.navigraph.com/t/airfield-charts-to-assist-with-taxi-routes/11768/3), where the very detailed AMDB map can be used with moving maps. It shows all taxiways and parking positions.
